Planning your day at LBC

Most of our groups will begin their day at camp between 9:30 and 10:00am depending upon the groups desire. Activity sessions will occur during the morning and afternoon interrupted by an hour-long lunch break. Lunch will be lead by our staff and include a campfire program if time permits. Most of our activity sessions are developed for one-hour periods. However, some activities will require more than one hour to complete. Therefore during an average day 3-4 program options are feasible. Below is a sample day plan for which our existing fee structure is based on:

Classes will be divided into a number of groups depending upon size of the class. We like to have 10-15 children per activity group. There will be at least one camp staff for each activity group. We suggest there be at least one preferably two adult helpers for every activity group. Please make sure all adult helpers read over the roles and responsibilities of teachers and adult helpers.

Remember that you know your class better than our camp staff. Some classes may take longer at certain activities. Please use your judgment in planning your day. A maximum of four activities can be chosen

Special notes for multiple day programs
The school group is responsible for preparing and providing all meals except for lunches. The camp staff will gladly give suggestions for outdoor or indoor supper and breakfast. Rental groups will have access to kitchen supplies (ie. Stoves, pots,…). It is expected that anything used will be cleaned and returned to its proper place by the rental group.

The camp does not supply bedding. Bunks and mattresses are supplied.

Camp staff will be available to provide programming from: 9am to 4:30pm, 6:30pm to 8:30pm. All other times teachers and helpers are expected to provide supervision and programming.
