Program opportunities for Day Camps

Some activities require more time than others. Be aware that choosing programs which require more than a hour will limit your selection of other activities.

Environmental Learning

• Earth walk - Guided nature hike
• Wetlands discovery (pond study) The beaver pond is a 15-minute hike from the main camp area. The area contains a active beaver pond, large painted turtles, a variety of bird and duck species and a diverse wetland ecosystem.  This activity is often combined with an Earth Walk in a two-hour program slot.  
• Environmental games and activities (from Project Wild, Project Forest, Project Wet and other resources)
• Predator and Prey (Food web study game) (Grades 3-8)

Outdoor Activities

• Canoeing (Canoeing instruction can be given in our pool, lake or at our beaver pond. More than one hour is required if you wish to canoe on the lake or beaver pond) (Grades 3-8)
• Archery (Grades 3-8)
• Orienteering (Different skill levels available) (Grades 6-8)
• Beach walk
• Swimming (heated pool or beach) (Lifeguard provided)
• Water games (Please bring a change of clothing)
• Outdoor Cooking

Games and Sports

• Parachute games (Grades K-4)
• Beach volleyball (Grades 3-8)
• Relay Games
• Cooperative Games

Other Programming

• Crafts (Grades K-3)
• Campfire programming (for overnight groups)
• Night games (for overnight groups)
